Join other workers, community members, and people of faith who care about the rights of Tennessee's workers in lobbying our state legislators. From bad bills that take away workers' living wages to positive bills that ensure fair pay for public employees, there are many decisions that will be made in Nashville this year that affect workers throughout our state.

    During Lobby Day, you'll receive training on how to talk to your legislators about particular bills. You'll also have the chance to participate in a noon rally at the legislature.

    Donations: There is no charge to participate in Lobby Day, but your donation will help pay for the cost of renting buses and meeting space. You can make a donation at the Workers Interfaith Network website.

    Transportation: Buses will be leaving Memphis at 5:30 a.m. (Central time) and Knoxville at 7:00 a.m. (Eastern time). Caravans may also be forming from other cities. Once you have registered, we will email you with additional transportation information.

    Training: Advance trainings for Lobby Day will also be offered in Memphis and Knoxville - we will send you information about these trainings as well.

Lobby Day Schedule (all times below are Central time)

9:00 - 10:30     Training for lobbying visits (location of training to be announced)

10:30 - noon     Visits to legislators in teams

Noon - 1:00       Rally on the capitol steps

1:00 - 3:00        Lunch break and/or visits to legislators in teams
